As an artist, I create bespoke bas-relief ships and boats that capture the love of the ships and boats that we cherish. From seven feet in length to eighteen inches in length I can create a dynamic or static rendition of the ships and boats that you love.

 

Each piece of art, stands out on the wall in bas-relief and striking color. These pieces are basic two-dimensional pieces with some elements modeled in the third dimension. With artistic touches to compliment the details you would like to highlight in the commission. Each piece is made of wood, wire, paper, plastic, tin and other materials to capture the ship or boat in exquisite detail. These are not builders’ models or precision models, but bespoke art pieces designed to capture the beauty of the vessels we love. They stand out from the wall to pop as an art piece creating a subtle shadow behind each piece.

 

I offer two models for your consideration, static models which show the hull and running gear such as the propellors and rudders. Or dynamic pieces where the ship, tug or boat is captured knifing through the waterway it typically sails on. As an example, a Mississippi River tug or riverboat plowing through the coffee-colored waters of the Mississippi River. A naval ship that operates on the deep ocean will cut through an indigo sea with transverse and stern wakes.
